it was great.
REALLY needed that massage.
and the adjustment makes me feel so much better.
dr. mike wants me in there every week for now, and then we'll do just a few times a month for "maintenance".
it's great - i've needed to find a good chiropractor for a LONG time now, and i'm glad it's finally happened. it's a long story, but chiropractors are the reason I can walk, and why i haven't had multiple hip/knee/ankle surgeries already.

yay for preventative medicine =)

I am SO HAPPY for you!!! It is soooo important to have a Wellness Team that focuses on prevention. With all you have going on, I am happy that this is one less thing you have to deal with. Yay!!

And I'd love to hear the longer story one day!

It was good. Dr. Mike hooked me up and made me all better!

Let's see...

FITNESS: Cardio day today. Feel like roadkill after yesterday's beating, so I'm glad it's a cardio day!

STUDY: After my appointment with the Chiro, and working out, I'm headed to Starbucks to KNOCK OUT some school studying. Haven't gotten as much done this week as I've needed to, so I'm going to make up some ground today. All this rainy weather has made me feel sooooo lazy! ACK. Please make it stop!

PLAN: Chiropractor appointment. Workout. Starbucks studying. Not sure what's up tonight...depends on how much I get done studying today. Will probably just relax at home...unless someone comes up with a better offer!!!

ACTION: Practice everything. Be faithful to my studies...and remember that this is just a season.

FITNESS: After waking with debilitating neck pain, I went to Dr. Majette; where all of you have been, I think, and where Liz works. He got me squared away and I feel much better. However, he told me to not work out...all weekend long at least. :( Oh well. I was SO on it!!

STUDY: Drucker. Atlas Shrugged. Bible.

PLAN: I planned the night before. I am not using Google Tasks in conjunction with my Google Calendar. Calendar is for scheduled appts only. Tasks are saved for the line items. My days already feel less cluttered but more productive; funny that.

ACTION: Clear off my desktop/computer. I LOVED what Zen_Habits had to say about it, so I implemented. That will clear me up for effectiveness from here on out.

P.S. Should any of you have a room to rent, or know of someone who will take in a room mate, let me know. I will have to be planning a move in the next few weeks. I may have a place for the next 2 months but will be looking again after that. Thanks a ton!

NO, seriously, I am thinking I will

Zen habits ROCKS!!! Good for you for incorporating things with which you connected!

I am loving the simplicity of working off of a tiny note pad right now for my MITs. Still haven't tackled my den. I still don't go in there...too messy and cluttered. I work at the dining room table. =) Soon I will tackle that monster of a room...I feel it comin'! You're inspiring me, Grant!!!

And do rest. Your bod will heal itself nicely. Here's a little inspirational quote that reminds me that life is about existing between extremes: "Happiness is not a matter of intensity but of balance and order and rhythm and harmony." -- Thomas Meron (Sarah Stegall had that as her status today....love it!)

Especially the rhythm part. Being in my second week of getting back to regular fitness routines, I appreciate the rhythm of work, rest, work, rest. I can feel my body responding to BOTH and my willingness to experience and embrace both work AND rest equally ~ both serve an important purpose.

if you need help tackling your den/dining room table/etc. let me know!
i love cleaning up and organizing spaces =).
it's a strange obsession of mine...

Thank you sooooo much for this offer and I think I am going to take you up on it! I feel so overwhelmed by the task...

You know it's funny...I do share your obsession! I love cleaning and organizing as well, but not my own stuff all the time!!! =) I feel like I have been shuffling it around for the past x years and now it's time to get SERIOUS! Time to call in the troops!!! (You and Liz, if she's still willing!) I know you get serious about stuff after seeing the yard work photos!!!! =)

I'm thinking sometime after I return from Chicago (June 8th), so hang tight for an invite! (Totally didn't mean for that to rhyme, but hey...) I'll even feed ya! *wink*

We tried to watch Peaceful Warrior last weekend, but couldn't get the stinkin' sound on the tv to work. Friend came out and looked at it during the week and it turns out that the tv is set up for cable tv only. Since we got rid of cable...no sound! D'oh!

I think we are going to watch it this weekend on the computer together. =) I will definitely share what Brien's thoughts are!!!!

I'm looking forward to our next ISFJ-gals theme dinner!!!

What's appening. What move?

Reply to This

No move. Just time to purge, declutter, and reorganize. My den is in such a state that I can't stand to be in there. It's overwhelming to me. Krysta and Liz offered to come and lend some support (and righteous motivation!). =)
