Studied: Reading the Bible and Atlas Shrugged by: Ayn Rand.
Plan: Quiet Time, workout, work, reading and more studying this evening.
Action: To stay focused, productive, and moving in the direction God is leading.
Quote: "No man for any considerable period can wear one face to himself and another to the multitude, without finally getting bewildered as to which may be the true." -Nathaniel Hawthorne, The Scarlet Letter
I tried to post from my phone, but don't think it went through!
Anyhoo...I am having a great visit with my family in Chicago. I don't know if I will post again this week. I'm kind of enjoying not being tethered (by choice) to a computer. So I will post some general stuff for this week just in case.
FITNESS: Did my workout from Liz yesterday and will repeat tomorrow and Saturday. YEAH!
STUDY: I am reading a couple of books on relationships and healing. Really amazing to see the revelations popping up left and right in relation to what I am reading. Good stuff. I also have a study plan outlined that includes somewhere around 4 or 5 books and some audio too. Liz...remind me to share this with you when we get together again!!
PLAN: Visit with family like crazy - especially my little nephew. Show Brien places that are part of my history: high school, college, old apartment, places I worked downtown, places I love to go around here and downtown. Brien arrives tomorrow night and I am excited.
ACTION: Continue to stay present in each moment. Choose faith over fear. Speak my truth.
I feel like I haven't "seen" many of you for a while and miss ya. I'll be back next Monday and get back into the swing of things and at least see you on here more! Y'all rock the hiz-ouse!
plan: today is filled with work for Sarah... she's going away for the wknd, so lots to do... my own plans are put aside today . i've been changing my goals a lot...it seems that of my 100 goals, a lot of them aren't really important to me and many can be put aside, which leaves me to focus on the most important!! :).
oh, and, i've been invited to the prayer group tonight... the group want to find out more about Haiti and pray for the trip and everyone involved etc. Really excited, because the church also want me to put something on their noticeboard about Haiti and my trip and they invited me to talk about it one Sunday when I'm back from Haiti... unexpected kindness! God stuff! :)
HEY ALL!
I have been OUT for two weeks solid.
First week was because a neck pinch, which Dr. Mike took care of. He had me not working out. (So, of course, everything else went too!)
Second week went because I was moving and getting settled, and now getting a job! Its amazing how life steals you away if you are not careful. Yet another great SFit lesson.
Compound that on the fact that my computer is on the fritz.
Must fix this week, because I do not have my own internet connection! Yikes!
So, again my apologies, but I am not gone with the wind!
FITNESS: Total body workout and Intervals tonight after work. Did NOT want to go, but went anyway and I'm glad I did!
STUDY: Read John chapter 3. Read a chapter of Planet Walker. Looked up leg workout ideas.
PLAN: Well...the plan was to do some school work today. But I woke up, was still feeling so tired, and then went back to bed 2 hours later and slept until I had to get up for work at 1. WOW....so weird. I never do that, but I'm glad I listened to my body. I've been pushing myself really hard physically...so I think it's catching up to me. I need to be careful to pay attention to how I'm feeling and rest when I have the chance.
ACTION: Practice everything. Be fully present. Embrace community.
Guess what!?!? I think I may have just gotten a new kayak =). I've been searching for a few weeks to find a longer, sleeker, sea kayak - one that's more suited to doing guiding and more suited for all the ocean paddling I've been doing. The guy has offered me an amazing deal...and I think I'm going to go for it. NOW...we just have to pray that my old kayak sells!!!!!!!!! I need to make between $400 and $450 on it. Keep your fingers crossed everyone =D.
Oh, how I have missed you all. I spent some time Tuesday reading through everyone's month of May on here. (Incidentally, I missed the entire month of May, but still get to post here because of the tardiness in starting the month of June...Mr. Nieddu. :) I have missed A LOT, and a lot has happened in me. I'm just going to blog about my month so as to not overwhelm "May Habits".
Fitness: Getting back to it this week. I certainly realized my need for consistency and accountability in the month that I was not on here. Everything fell away. But, as I said, I'm back on it now and super sore. Good to feel sore, again! Now who would've ever thought I'd say that?! :) Today is arms.
Study: Started summer class on Monday, and have a lot to catch up on. Have been reading leisure books that relax me and make me laugh for the last two weeks when I wasn't in school and am not wanting to get back into textbooks. (btw What's with reading Ayn Rand? Any specific reasons?)
Plan: Blog, clinic, plan next week (slow clinic day today! :)
Action: Make it happen, get back in the swing of things, connect with everyone again!
Got to do my 99th...but the 100th got rained out. It's ok - the sky will always be there =). Had a great time hanging out with friends, and doing the one jump.
