You might want to study up some on our mission statement and watch our Introduction video so you know a little bit about what we are trying to achieve with this website. Once you have a grasp of the site's purpose, all you need to do is begin with updating your profile.
We are trying to focus on Goals here at Successfit, and we want to keep it simple.
We believe that Fitness and Health is one of the least complex activities to get involved with for beginning Successfitters who have never done goal-setting before. We also believe it is a necessity to maintain for the seasoned goal-setter and achiever.
We hope that both beginners and seasoned goal-achievers alike find a way to interact on this site and create a strong community relationship. You can look around at other Successfitters to study how they communicate their goals on their profiles to get ideas on what you can write for your own.
If you have never done an intense goal-setting session please contact Chad or Grant to find out how you can get up and running and confident in your direction. (Watch for the Goal-Setting Video soon, too.)
The ultimate in interaction on this site is to log in each day to give an update on how well you did with your daily habits. We have found that successful people do certain daily habits everyday to create a successful life. Logging on each day to tell us how things are going is part of an accountability process so that you can have a group supporting you to help you move forward.
Regardless of your daily success on the particular habit, it is important just to say how you did to others.
It helps you stay focused on the elements that will change your life faster towards your dreams.
Physical: What did you do today to become healthier and more fit. We have a couple programs that we recommend, everything from Body for Life systems, P90x, and Crossfit. We don't think that a person has to choose one particular system, but it is important that you are using something to help guide you through the beginning stages of working out. Trying to figure out what to do is one of the most overwhelming things for beginners.
An Example post: Did crossfit today and had a personal best on the Helen workout, made it through in 11:30, also ate very good.
Education: Most Americans don't read another book after their last class in college or for some high school. If this happened at anytime in the first 18 years of your life they would call you 'learning disabled'!!
But, it seems that reading and educating has become a habit that 90% of the world forgets about after school, yet it is proven to be one of the most important habits towards life success. Here at Successfit we promote our people to become life-long learners. Reading or listening to educational audio an hour a day is a great goal and will absolute transform anyones life.
An Example post: Read 30 pages of Seven habits of Highly Effective People and journaled some on what I learned.
Planning: Another one of the important skills in life is Planning. If you have a goal but you don't know how to map out how to get there, it is almost useless to have the goal. Practicing planning and Priority management on a daily basis will improve your effectiveness on the goals that you have. You will learn to shed the things in life that you do that are unimportant to you and focus harder on the things you care about.
An Example post: Did week planning session today and prioritized major events this week. Reviewed top 100 dreams and focused on some strategy planning to accomplish them.
Action: Taking action and becoming a proactive person is a vital part of the equation. You can develop all the intellect in the world, and have the best plan, but if you are not capable of being proactive and taking massive action towards the goals, once again, you will probably never make it.
An Example post: Called 20 new prospects today for my business and set an appointment to meet with the chamber of commerce about an idea to feed the hungry in Lakeland.
Hopefully this added some insight on how we are shaping this website, and the interaction that we want to inspire out of our members. If you can only participate on a weekly basis at first then do that. Anything you do to develop new habits will be hard, but worth it in the end.
Hope to hear from you soon!
