I just changed my page, and if any of you knew me personally, you'd be laughing hysterically that it's pink! (definitely not a normal Stopes color, but I thought it worked here. :)

Erin,

Just thought I would stop by and see how your week has gone and see how you are sticking to your workouts and nutrition routine these days... working and being as busy as you are it does make it challenging to maintain your workouts and fuel your body every few hours. Though, it can be done, it just takes time to rearrange a few things and break into a whole new habit or lifestyle if you will! Keep up the hard work as it is and will pay off in the long run... enjoy your weekend!

So is that what they call it? Midwifery school? That's cool your going to mozambique. How long are you going to be there? The most interesting places I've been have been in africa. I think Grant mentioned to you I was in Cameroon last winter break. That was probably the best experience because it really helped define what it would take to make some real changes in peoples lives. What are your goals for going there? Are your mission trips specifically as a midwife? What other medical fields to you work with? So I take it your a big traveler? It seeems like everyone Grant meets or introduces me to is one haha. I'm sure we'll keep this conversation going, but I doubt I'm going to be on for awhile because of the holiday. have a Merry Christmas!

Ooooohhh diving in the Bahamas!! That sounds so incredible! What an experience to have, eh? I was certified years ago, never did my open water dive in the ocean due to hurricanes. By the time I went to dive in the ocean I had gotten rusty and panicked. I'd like to get past that by rebuilding my confidence with a refresher course. No doubt this group here is a blessing!!

Profile Information

Tell us about yourself generally... What do you do? Where did you come from? Etc.
I have a crazy, full, wonderful life right now, that took a turn for the better back in July of 08. I had been a Starbucks store manager that had no life, no direction, was heart-broken and had given up on dreams. Then an accident brought everything into perspective(thank God for the way he uses people and situations!) and I'm back on track! I quit my job(but stayed on as a shift supervisor with SBUX for the benefits), enrolled in school, started catching babies again, and got a job as a waitress to pay the bills. I am a licensed midwife, and hadn't practiced in the two years I "settled" and worked at SBUX.

I'm from El Paso, TX, but have lived and visited all over. I lived in the Philippines for three years, where I delivered babies for the poor for free, and saved mama's and babies' lives frequently. I miss it! I'll get back to medical missions soon.
What are a few of your Life Goals (Ex. fitness, career, educational, etc.)?
To be intentional in all aspects of my life...whether it's what I'm putting in my mouth, or what words are coming out of it...to be mindful.

I'm working on some courses right now to finish out a Bachelor's degree that will enable me to apply for medical school. I'm focused on medical missions, and am trying to figure out the best capacity to do that...doctor, midwife, primary health care worker, administrate a non-profit?!
Do you have a desired Health, Fitness, of Physique Goal? If so Please specify...
I would like to lower my body fat percentage and be more toned.
Are you currently using a specific program, routine or system that you are following to work on your Fitness Goals? (Ex. Body for Life, Crossfit, Jenny Craig, P90x, etc.)
I am currently doing Kinetix through Starbucks and am really enjoying it.
Have you done your Top 100 Goals?
No

Results thus far...

YES! Four weeks in! I'm quite encouraged by the fact that I have done my workouts every day for the last four weeks(except rest days). My best friend said that it takes 21 days to make something into a habit, so now I have a new healthy habit! I find myself really looking forward to my workouts, and I feel really accomplished after I do them.

My goal with doing Kinetix has been to become more toned. I'm not overly concerned with my weight, but would like to see my body fat percentage go down. I… Continue

Kinetix

Wow. So I have finally gotten through the Kinetix material, and am ready to explain to everyone what this program is. First of all, I have to say that Starbucks is an amazing company to work for...they offered to sign partners up for this for free.(I looked online and this is valued at $400) They have a desire to see their partners getting healthier, and see the benefit in lowering their health costs if they just help people to get healthier...the whole country could take this as a model!

Well,… Continue
