Fantastic Profile. I am very excited to have you as a member of the community! It is unique for us to have a friend in the Camp Pendleton base camp! Hope to keep in touch with you and track your successes!
Paul! Welcome to the show!
It sounds like you have some clear set goals. Solid.
I recommend checking out the videos/audios, and checking back now and again as we desire to add more here shortly.
Also, feel free to say 'hello' to Liz (a nutrition consultant), Krysta (our skydiving starbucks barista), David Harvitz (a PT Grad Student at UPITT), or any of our other people. Just tell them Grant said to say 'hi'.
If you need anything at all, let me or Chad know!

Profile Information
Tell us about yourself generally... What do you do? Where did you come from? Etc.
I was born in Waterbury, CT and grew up in Terryville, a small, boring town in central Connecticut. I was just an average student, working out, and playing Varsity Baseball. My life changed direction one morning, in my senior year, on September 11th of 2001.
As I walked into my history class, I was surprised to see my teacher sitting at a desk with his eyes fixed to the television set. I then looked over and saw the second plane hit the tower. I was shocked, as we all were.
Shortly thereafter, I took my SAT for college entry, but I decided higher education would have to wait. I had always been interested in the military, especially the Air Force up to that point. As I weighed my options, along with the feeling in my heart that my country needed young men like me, I stumbled into the recruiting office that housed all the branches of service. The only office open that day was the United States Marine Corps.
SSgt King sat behind his desk. Impeccable uniform, clean shave and haircut, barrel chest, and huge muscles. I knew immediately that I wanted what he had. He had confidence, poise, and commanded respect. I enlisted in the Delayed Entry Program for Active Duty service as an infantryman in the Marine Corps in January, 2002. I went to boot camp later that year, and it has been an amazing journey.
I have traveled and seen more places than most could ever dream. There have been bad times as well as good, but when I think back to home, and my friends lives- stagnant, working the same old jobs, and never leaving home, I feel better, and so thankful that God could provide me with this opportunity to be a United States Marine and to not only see the world, but give me the confidence, leadership, and drive that I longed for as I walked into that recruiters' office.
Many people believe that those of us in the military are dumb. I would have to disagree. I will not strike back at them and insult them, but I will say that I have gotten a lifetime of experience in six years that one could only dream of, and I am forever proud and grateful to serve my country honorably.
