A new month enters the scene!
This is the last month of the 1st quarter already, and so much has happened.

Personally, last month I way underperformed. Being dealt some serious time constraints at work, I got into the mentality of "rush, rush, rush. Cut away the unnecessary. Make sacrifices. Push, Push, Push to create provisions."

I think I am going to quit that. Even if I have to live on lower provisions for a time, I cannot speed through my time like I have. I have seriously botched my workouts and barely held together my budget. My studying dropped of precipitously and I can feel that I do not have fresh thoughts, ideas, or solutions because of it.

My plans and actions actually fell into place. I am where I need to be, but with my mindset being off, I am not WHO I need to be. I am satisfied with most, not all, of the results. I am highly disappointed at the way I have gotten them (not working out, not expanding my relationships.)

I have GROWN in many aspects. I have found myself forming higher-lid solutions here or there. I have seen myself act in a way that I would say is higher consciousness. I have found new awarenesses about the direction I want, and the way I want to frame things when I meet people.

I just sense that if I keep going, I will really hit a burn out phase. Its like a workout where the scoring is based on reps counted. I feel like I rushed through the squats and pull-ups and got a really decent rep score. However, looking back on it, I realize that I didn't lock my knees out at the top of every squat or I didn't get my chin over the bar for every single pull-up.

You just can't keep doing that. At some point you need to slow down and work on mechanics.

So, I had a mad dash February.
Instead, March is all about mechanics; Mechanics March for me.

  • I am officially, in a mad sweep, pushing all projects save 2 off of my desk.
  • I am narrowing these down to 1 primary and 1 secondary.
  • I am positioning everything that comes to me slowly and thoughtfully.
  • I am beefing up my studying again, but I need to be selective so as not to get distracted with overload.
  • I am making mental space to slip in a few more workouts.
  • I am reading my dream list and goals every morning and night. (AND FINISHING THEM!!!)
  • I am writing only on these two projects to get products finished. Take actions only on these two areas.
  • I am working on personal habits like spending and budgeting.
  • I am separating out the co-mingling of my finances to be a more legitimate business owner.

What's amazing is that in my mind I can see the plan for March, but more than that. I can see how it fits perfectly well in my Master plan. I can see how focusing on these things fits into my Top 100 list, and my annual list. I can feel how that is a strategic move, like chess. Even though I want to hold on to this or that other projects, I can feel the importance of these acts.

The further I go with prayerfully approaching my Dream List and Goals, the more I just get it into my subconscious and walk it out, the more confidently I am making decisions. More than that, the more I am BECOMING THAT PERSON who just knows and does the right thing anyway.

Wild.

So, all that being said as early framing for this awesome Month of Mechanics:

FITNESS: after work, going for a run and burpees. 3 rounds for time.

STUDY: Going to plan my month's study list based on Top 100 goals, as well as my annual goals. Specifically tonight, Going to review 7 Habits of Highly Effective People to start gearing my brain toward us doing an SFit seminar.

PLAN: Review the Dream List and goals. Reviewing what I have down for the month. Making sure what is there as of now fits, and naming outcomes I want for the month. Then outcomes I need for each week.

ACTION: Planning really is the big action I need to take. The only other important one is sending e-mails to partners of other projects to frame things right for this month. Fortunately, all my partners are high quality people who can maturely handle these sorts of things! Grocery shopping and making meals is in there as well.

NOW, its YOUR turn. State your intent for the month! Tell us what you learned from last month. Properly debrief yourself. Then state your intents for this month with "I am doing, I am running, I am whatever" in the present-possessive tense. (As if you are doing it now.)
